All,

I am pleased to announce the next release of my eSearch Widget.

http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=5d4995ccdb99429185dfd8d8fb2a513e

Version 2.5.1.7 - 4/19/2012
* Added ability to search (flat/standalone/no geometry) tables.
* This time all Zooming uses the same scaling (popup, datagrid, widget results, zoom to all).
* Added Relates icon/button to datagrids so that you can click on it in the datagrid to
  open relates choice dialog.
* Move all skins to a skins package for cleaner organization.
* Links that are not associated with a field now work.
* Ability to disable the relates tab in the fixed widget is now configurable.

Liam,

Did you name the widgets folder something other than eSearch (flex is case sensitive)?

The folder I downloaded came in as an eSearch-master.zip folder. which i expanded as an eSearch-master folder.
I then Created an eSearch folder and copied the eSearchWidget.mxml and eSearchWidget.xml into it.

I think I discovered what I was doing wrong.

I need to name the entire eSearch-Master folder as eSearch and I need to bring the folder in with its entire contents not just the eSearch.xml and eSearch.mxml I thought i needed.

Stupid mistake by me..

Liam,

The eSearchWidget is a very advanced and complicated widget is is made out of several DOZEN files not just the eSearchWidget.mxml and eSearchWidget.xml... From the main download there is a uncompiled folder in that is an eSearch folder you need to add that whole folder under widgets in you FV project.

Hello,

Good work on the widgets, Thank you for great support also.

I am using eSearch 3.0.16 for FlexViewer 3.0
I can figure out why selected I items don't show popup, even I have popup xml created
Regular click on the unselected items shows popups

I would appreciate your help

Laurynas,

My widget does not use the PopUp that is configured for a specific layer in the main config.xml of the viewer. Is that what you are thinking it should be doing?

Hey,

I just used popups to see if my service is working right with popups.

I guess You have to configure popups separately from regular popups in eSearch Widget?

Thank you

Laurynas,

Yes the eSearch Widgets popups are built using the information you configure for the layer in the eSearchWidget.xml. There is extensive pdf documentation that comes with the widget on how to configure the eSearch Widget.
