Tracing and analysis task

Hello everyone 

I'm using the telecommunication utility network foundation solution with ArcGIS pro v 3.1.3, walking through the tracing and analysis task (Customer to Upstream Switch) reaching the last step of the trace upstream the tool shows "No parameters" 

 few steps to open the model in the model builder and run it , a message appear" no valid subnetwork controller found" 

Trying these steps did not work for me Set or modify the subnetwork definition—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

any advise?

You need to look at what your starting point is on. Does that feature have a value of IsConnected = True?

Thanks for replaying 

For the network interface unit device the Isconnected field is true, But the fiber connector which is the starting point is not connected(isconnected=false), how to solve this?
