Hello,
One of my client works with ArcGIS Pro and Utility Network on a water distribution network. He would like to limit the number of features which can be connected to a water pipe. For example, he would like to be sure that only one hydrant can be connected to one pipe (like the rules we can add in a relationship class).
May I ask if one of you know how to do it on a utility network ? Thanks a lot for your help 🙂
Deb
Edit - Wrong post!
You would have to use an attribute rule to do this. Data Reviewer might have options to validate this without having to write the arcade logic.
Hi Mike, I will ask him tomorrow, thank you 🙂
Great ! I don‘t think that my client has access to Data Reviewer but the Arcade logic is an option. Do you think more specifically of a validation or a constraint rule (I don’t use them very much) ? Thank you again.
If you modeled it as a containment association, this would work. Might not make logical sense (for a pipe to "contain" a hydrant"), but hey...it's a solution.
Thank you Bill, I will keep in mind this idea 😊
