Hi,
We are trying to filter the traces results with several attributes as condition, among them the Asset Group.
I wanted to set it as some custom ones that I have created with the Add Network Attribute tool. However, when trying to set it with Set Network Attribute it is not available to select.
Currently, when trying to select the Asset Group for a filter and want to search for a specific value, the domain options do not appear.

I agree that network categories seem almost tailor made for this use case. Another option could be to define a trace configuration specifying your target asset groups as an output. This also saves a few clicks compared to running the trace GP tool
Because the asset group spans multiple classes there isn't a domain that can be used for this, while you could use the asset group codes directly this may not work well because you may use the same asset group code for different layers. Another option you should consider is making use of network categories to allow you to precisely specify the asset groups/types you want to use for your condition.
