I notice that the "Rated Power" field uses a domain containing kVA (apparent power) values instead of kW (actual power) values. I find this slightly odd because generator manufacturer spec sheets more often contain KW rather than kVA values.
I could not find a field in low voltage generation to store my generators' KW values.
Is my best course of action to convert my KW values to kVA?
Thank you.

The value in the field ratedpower is relative to the subtype/asset group. For asset group MV Transformer, ratepower is volt amps or VA. The domain description may say kVA, but the value is in the least common unit, which is volt amps.
you can certainly add the field, but keep in mind that adding a lot of fields could affect editing performance. Also, are you going to use this field in trace summaries or trace filters, if so it will need to be a network attribute.

It's helpful to know that the domain value always corresponds to the least common unit, thank you.
I would still like a place where I can put the real power (kW) rating. Would you recommend that I add a field?
