I have taught intro GIS to Urban Planning graduates for a few years now and will be starting intermediate/advanced in the spring. I want to introduce Python and/or JavaScript into the classroom.
Would love recommendations for current titles.
My initial inclination is for Python Scripting for ArcGIS Pro by Zandbergen since it is more current and seems to be well received. (ArcPY and ArcGIS by Toms and O'Beirne looks good too, but is a bit dated).
For ArcGIS API for Javascript, I am thinking of just using the ESRI tutorials here: https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/ unless there are recommendations for textbook. Btw - the class will also be covering Network Analyst, Model Builder, Subtypes and Domains, ArcGIS for Adobe Creative Cloud, Experience Builder, and Survey 123 so these will just be modules w/n the class overall.
