What happens to photos included in a survey

Just a couple of questions around Survey123

I am assuming you create a Hosted FeatureLayer on the Hosting Server when you create a survey and post its results.  How do you find the size of it, or where is the survey data stored?

Also, if you add photos that you take, to a survey, where are these stored when you upload the survey?

I can't find documentation to show how this architecture works.

The information submitted through the survey is stored in the Hosted Feature Layer associated with the survey.
