Hello, I have a project where we will have multiple tablet (android) devices collecting data from sites. One requirement is that each device be able to see each form submission and to be able to make edits on each form. These edited forms should then show up on each of the devices. I am wondering if there is a way to do this on survey123 or in the Arc environment with field maps or something else. I am fairly new to survey 123 so still trying to learn the ropes. Currently we have inboxes enabled on each device and we can see forms submitted from other devices in this inbox, but upon editing edits don't appear across all devices. Is there a solution to this?
Solved! Go to Solution.
You are nearly there for Survey123:
The edited forms need to be re-submitted + users re-download the updated form.
You will have issues if two users are offline editing the same feature. This will be OK if you are adding i.e. using related tables and repeats.
If you share more info about the data you are trying to capture we may be able to provide better suggestions.
Thanks so much for the input Christopher! So I am able to do all that, but when I make an edit on a form not sent from that device, the edits do not appear in the inbox of the device that originally sent the form. I thought I was getting closer when I enabled the overview folder to be able to see everything, but I still can't get edited form to sync across the board, even after refreshing the inbox and overview folder. Any suggestions, I feel like I am just missing one simple setting or something.
Yes I figured out you need to only have the inbox on and the overview folder. Turning off the sent folder was the trick! Thanks for your input!
