The new update mentions support for Repeats ... Can't get that to work

The latest update appears to have support for Repeats per the description of the update on the App Store. Could it be that we still have to wait until October 1st before that functionality works and it was accidentally mentioned in the update you released? Because when I try to use repeat on photos the survey will not submit via my iPhone Survey123 app that I'm using for testing. It shows up with an error message of 400.

Hi,

when using the form in your phone, are you taking a new photo or browsing to an existing one from your photo library? I was able to configure a repeat with images and make it work from iOS6 with no problem, but only if taking photos. If I browse for an existing photo I get a 400 error.  Can you confirm that this is the behavior you see?

thanks,

Ismael

Ismael,

I'm getting it on newly taken photos. Not from existing photos.

Thanks!

Tony

I tried again this morning and I'm encountering the same issue.

Awesome form!

We have looked at this and cannot reproduce the problem. We used iPhone 6 with iOS9 as well as iPhone6 with iOS8.4. We were able to submit the photos with no problem. We tried up to 6 attachments. As long as the pictures are taken as opposed to brought from the library, we had no issues. Only when browsing for photos we can reproduce the 400 error.

Ismael we have noticed when it uploads the finished form to ArcGIS Online that there appears to be no blob type field related to the images. S2015-09-29_13-18-11.jpghouldn't there be one? I'm attaching a screenshot of what the related photo layer looks like.

I'm working with Tony on this project.  We realized the table does show attachments are enabled and that's where the images are stored so disregard Tony's question.  What we have discovered is that images are being saved but we are unable to view them in ArcGIS online.  If we export the feature service to a FGDB we can view the images in ArcMap.  However if we use the map that is created when we publish the form we have noticed that the related "repeat" table does not show in the details tab and we can not view photos.  We also tried creating a new map and adding the feature service which does pull in the related table but again were unsuccessful at viewing images.

We used the sample form in the XML documentation in the Repeats section.  This form gave us very similar behavior in that the default map created by publishing the form did not allow us to view images but when we added the feature service to a new map the related layer was also added and this time we were successful in viewing the images in AGO.  The difference here is that the sample form used a geo location point and created the "repeat" table as a layer instead of a table.

This issue only exists when using the image type in the repeat function.  We do not have any problems viewing photos in AGO when not using the repeat.

Great reply that should help them narrow down the issue. Thanks Mark!
