i have a question: I want to display a map based on selected questions. For example, if a question is about choosing a city, and the person is actually located in that city, then the map should be displayed. If they are not in the city, the map should not appear, and a warning message should be shown instead.

"I have a layer shared on ArcGIS Online that represents cities. I want it to be the reference used to determine whether a person's location is actually within a city or not."

I don't know that you could trigger that to happen just based on their location from the mobile device (because would it still work from a computer and anyway I don't think it's possible?) but maybe you could add a question to the survey to ask:

"Are you located with Atlanta, Georgia, USA?"

And if they answer Yes, it shows the next questions (including the map). If they answer No, maybe it shows some text saying this form is only applicable to residents of Atlanta, Georgia.

Could something like that work? Because you definitely CAN design a survey123 to have some dichotomous key structure. What I mean is, I remember doing tutorials where you design a survey to show certain questions based on someone answering the first question a certain way. In the end, the user basically has several paths the survey might lead them down, based on their input.

I hope that makes sense; I'm sick and some of my brain cells didn't show up to work today.

As I was making my example diagram, it came to me - I think the concept is called conditional questions?? Like a condition must be met for the question to be shown to the user, and an example would be giving a certain answer on a previous question.

The goal I want to achieve is:
First, a task is given to a person on the site through ArcGIS WorkForce and ArcGIS Survey123 is linked to WorkForce
to collect information about the study area. The goal is to prevent the questions from Survey123 appearing if the person is actually in the study area specified in the task.

He may not go to the study area and fill out the form with incorrect information. I want to make sure that the information was actually collected from the specified location. Do the questions not appear automatically if he is present at the specified location?
