I made the mistake of publishing updates to two survey123 forms before having my crew send in data from the tablet outbox. The data then couldn't be submitted. I pulled the original survey xlsx off of the tablet, copied it into the appropriate survey folder, updated the form in Connect, then tried to republish each survey. However, both surveys are getting hung up when I try to publish at the "Checking Feature Service: Getting Service Information" phase.
One form has repeats and I added dummy text variables as recommended by: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-survey123-questions/hanging-when-trying-to-publish-update-to-su...
The other form does not have repeats.
I have also tried removing all but a few fields from the form to troubleshoot the publishing process, but it also gets hung up at the "Checking Feature Service" phase.
I'm using Survey123 Connect 3.12.232.
Hello @DarcyBird,
We believe we have a fix for the old Getting service information in our current 3.13 beta builds that are present in our Early Adopter Community. If you test with the 3.13.160 beta build on EAC that should help get past the getting service information hang.
Alternatively depending on how much of a schema change the updates were I would suggest recovering the data from the devices and appending it to the feature service.
Here are a few links that may be helpful for the workflow:

Please feel free to reach out to Esri Technical Support for any assistance in performing the data recovery workflow.
Thank you,
Zach
Your dummy field should be OUTSIDE of the repeat. The issue you are seeing happens when you are adding a new field within a repeat, but no changes outside.
Add a field like delete_me outside of the repeat, publish, then remove it and republish.
My dummy field was outside the repeat, thanks.
