Retrieve info from a spreadsheet into Survey123 form based on bar code scan

I have a spreadsheet with bar codes of 4000 assets and lots of info about them (serial number, model, description, location, etc).  Is there a way to create a survey 123 app using the bar code scanner function where someone could scan the item, and the values stored in the spreadsheet would populate fields in the survey, and the user could confirm that info or change if necessary

Hi Amy,

This is possible with Survey123 - take a look at 'Calculate Location by CSV' sample in Survey123 Connect.  Change  the first question (select_one) into a barcode and the 'calculate' questions into text and that effectively starts the process.

Also look at Formulas—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS (working with external data).  The lookup can be based on any other question, including the text read form a barcode scan.
