Recommendation for external GPS for Surface Pro 7+ with S123

Can someone recommend or provide their experience using an external GPS receiver with S123 on a Surface Pro 7+ device? 

The accuracy of the GPS is not critical.  Something within a meter or so would be plenty accurate.  The purpose is to record a reasonably accurate location of assets in the field whilst offline.  

I know ESRI has a page that defines some GPS high-accuracy receivers but I'm interested in experience of others and, as I said, high accuracy is not a requirement in our case.

Also curious of approximate costs of receiver if you know.
