"Search, or Find function for Calculation

Dear all,

I need to calculate for a field based on the position of a substring in another question. It should be similar to the SEARCH("search string", "String Value", start position) in Excel or Find function.

I need to do a "auto-fill" for a field using a substring in a provirus question. I need to find the numbers of starting and ending position for the "substr" function.

This is part of the custom JavaScript functionality; it still is in beta (there are a couple of final issues with the survey author's experience holding final release).

Thanks for responding, as it is still in Beta will hold off putting it into my surveys, will definitely be a useful feature when it arrives though.

Did this ever come to fruition? Don't seem to see it in the list of available formulas for Survey123.
