Notes hidden by a relevant are still not ''?

Any field that is hidden by a relevant should have a value of ''.   This is expected. 

But now I am seeing a type Note is still running its calculation anyway.  This messes up my join() later.

Is this expected?  How can I stop it?

Hi Doug,

What version did you see this occur in, and what version was it working as you expected previously? Does it occur in the latest 3.10 release of Connect/field app?

Can you provide your xlsx file, or a cut down version of it, that displays the behaviour?
