Jumping to question on new repeat or multiline image?

This is a two parter but they're essentially the same thing.

I'm running into this thing where the screen jumps up a question or two after submitting an image question.

 

 

Same thing for a repeat. It jumps up, but not to the top of the repeat.

How can I make them 1) not jump and 2) jump to where I want?

Not sure if this is related, but if you author a repeat in Connect and display the survey in anything other than the field or desktop app (e.g. Hub, Experience Builder, browser), the plus button to add another repeat appears at the top of the repeat, not the bottom. Very annoying, but don't know a workaround.

Edit: I think an ESRI instructor at the UC said they're redesigning S123 from the ground up. Currently S123 Connect is based off of xlsforms, which are not an ESRI product, so there are limitations on what they can do there, or so they say. No idea why the web designer is designed the way it is. Geared toward simpler surveys/less experienced creators, I guess. Maybe the new S123, whenever it happens, will fix some of this.
