Is Survey123 being discontinued?
I know this has been addressed several times in the past, and yet it has come up once again. Yesterday a project manager at my company mentioned that Survey123 is being sunsetted in the near future. I still don’t know how or where these rumors keep coming from, yet they persist. Each time you hear them, it affects the decision to use it as a viable solution.
My apologies for asking this question again, but I’m trying to get the definitive word as of January 2025. Survey123 would be a fantastic solution for our client to consider for resolving a field data collection problem we have recently identified on a major project.
Unfortunately it is not being considered because the belief is that Esri will soon stop supporting it. Due to this ongoing rumor, Survey123 is incorrectly being seen as a waste of time, money and resources.
Thanks in advance for any information you can provide that will help solve this issue and allow me to present evidence that Esri has no plans for discontinuing Survey123.

Hi @TonyStrothers ,
There are no plans to discontinue Survey123. At UC and other events last year, we mentioned that we are in the process of rewriting the field application (much like what ArcGIS Field Maps is also doing); that activity is ongoing. The existing apps are still being supported and released; the next release is planned for the end of February.

As a followup, could you please clarify what "rewriting the field app" means? Will our existing surveys still work in the field app like they do now? and will the user interface change? I have user help documents with screenshots and would like to know in advance if the UI will change as it will affect future "user guides".
Also, I _think_ one reason people are so paranoid (including me) about losing S123 after putting so much time into it is that for many years ESRI stipulated that ArcMap was not going away...
Thank you
