Or can this only be done by leveraging multiple surveys? I need to collect data that are best stored in a related table.
Hi Max,
FYI: When you collect data for a survey in Survey123 for ArcGIS, all survey content is stored within the same hosted feature layer/feature service. Behind the scenes, data for repeats and images are stored as related tables.
In your case, yes - you would need to publish multiple surveys, where each survey would have its own hosted feature layer/feature service.

I'm curious as to why you need this? Can you please elaborate on your workflow/requirements?
Hope this helps,
Derek thanks for getting back to me on this.
After some more research it seems that a repeat section should
accommodate our needs, but let me elaborate.
We need to collect data from apartment complexes including the rent,
size, #beds, #baths, etc... for which there will be multiple records per
apartment as these data vary depending on the 'unit style'. Thus the
need for a repeat section for these records to be stored in a related table.
I haven't been able to test this configuration yet, however it seems
that this will work based on my novice understanding of XLSforms.
Thank you,
Max
Derek this is a great start,
I will be able to customize and get what I need from here.
Thank you,
Max
Derek,
I am now running into an issue with the csv encoding of my external
data. I have some fields which have strings that contain commas. This
is apparently throwing off my pulldata() calculations which populate my
fields given a previous answer.
Have you run into this before or do you have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Max
Hi Max,
I don't have a lot of experience using the pulldata function in Survey123. Please post your question as a new thread in this forum, Survey123 for ArcGIS
And someone on the team or the user community can probably assist.
Hope this helps,
Derek/Max - No need to repost. i have moved this thread to the Survey123 group.
Hi Max,
Yes, commas in a csv will not work currently in Survey123. I'll add this discussion to the issue we have logged to address this.
Derek,
I have been asked by our Survey123 Feild users if we can combine the 5 different surveys that they currently collect in the field, into one survey with each on separate pages/tabs. I know that Survey123 allows the use of pages/tabs, but i would like to keep the current feature services separate and not combine them. Any chance this is on the horizon for Survey123?
Thanks,
