Get user location without geo point field type

Question

Hi Community,

I am newbie and am working on a scenario where i want to get the location of users without Geo Point field type. Whenever user fills the form i want to know the actual location of user is this possible.

If yes please help me to solve this problem.

Does that geopoint need to be hidden for some reasons? Otherwise, you can apply 'yes' under 'read only' field in the geopoint question. Then it will grab the location automatically, but users won't able to change the locations at all.

Thanks for your reply, I did what you said but it doesn't work. It takes the value 0 for x and y co-ordinates.

Could you please help me with some more ideas? Or is there any option to get location using javascript by default if yes please suggest me.
