Hello. First time posting here so fingers crossed I am in the right place.

I can see via this post in November 2023 that Welsh (Cymraeg) was added as a supported language within Survey 123. I am currently developing multiple surveys which will require Welsh translations.

I have followed the correct steps for adding Cymraeg (cy) within my survey (see screenshot) and this appears to function correctly apart from the navigational buttons are not being automatically translated to Welsh/ Cymraeg. I also tested whether you were able to manually add translations but this also is not supported.

I have a calculation detecting which language the survey has been filled in. When Cymraeg is selected as a language, the locale is showing as 'en-gb'. Note: I have another field below detecting 'en-gb' and manually changing this to 'cy' just for this post.

I find this even more confusing when looking at date questions within the same survey. When English is selected, the date format is mm-dd-yyyy but when changing to Cymraeg it is dd-mm-yyyy. I would expect both to be dd-mm-yyyy.

Either I have made a mistake somewhere or this is hugely disappointing not to see Welsh as a supported language in the app. Can someone please confirm whether they have had success with the Welsh language and Survey123?

Diolch!

Just reading this based on your more recent post. Unfortunately, I can't help with this issue.

But, regarding date... I will drop the blame on the US for mm-dd-yyyy. That is a very US thing. Europe is less silly with their date formats and (generally) uses dd-mm-yyyy. Canada is somewhere in between, unfortunately, since we are so close to US. Are you using iOS? If so, have you tried changing your device's Region? I know if I swap between Canada and UK Regions, my "medium", "long", and "full" date formats change from month first to day first. You can always customize the "short" date format in iOS, but the other formats are region locked.
