Hello Community!

I am running into some trouble trying to select the closest hospital to our technician's location in the field. I have a point layer with local hospital locations linked to the survey in Survey 123 Connect. The field technicians will be using a geopoint question to submit their jobsite location, and I would like a text question called "Closest Hospital" to autofill with the closest hospital to their location.

Does anyone know how to accomplish this workflow/ if this workflow is possible? Thank you all so much for your help!

You'd be looking at pulldata(@layer).

But I don't think you can pulldata for a point based on proximity like that. Point-in-polygon works though.

This sounds like H&S, which I do a lot of. We have a very similar process for field staff. Honestly, we just make the tech look at a map and locate the closest hospital. If you have a point layer with that data that you will be working off, you could have S123 launch from that Hospital Point Layer to start the process.

Hi! Did you end up figuring this out, and, if so, what did you do?

@MelinaKrawchick Unfortunately, we have not found any good workarounds for this yet. We want the form to actually fill out with the hospital name and address, and not just opening at the hospital's location. For now, we are just using the hospital point layer as the basemap in the map question in the survey itself. Please let me know if you come across anything that works!
