When you change the order of questions in a SURVEY123 questionnaire or add new questions in a certain order, this order can be maintained in the columns of the database.
That is, if you add new questions in the middle of the questionnaire, they do not go in the final columns of the database, but rather, the order you have given in the questionnaire is maintained in the data base.

It is normal, that over time new questions are added to the SURVEY123 questionnaire, and what currently happens is that you have a database (in the initial creation order), but not in the final creation questionnaire order and therefore, the database is disordered and is not very useful for analyzing the information.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to change the column order of the database.  You may want to ask for more flexibility to change the order of fields in displaying applications.  As an example, the pop-up configuration in the Map Viewer allows you to hide, show and re-order the fields displayed, in addition to creating customized displays of the field data.

@JamesTedrick Is there a specific reason as to why the column order of the database cannot be changed in Survey123?  Without being an expert on the backend of this issue, this seems like a useful change that would help many users and could just solidify the existing function to drag columns within the "Data" tab.  I understand this is not possible right now but this would be a helpful functionality to be developed going forward.  Ideally you wouldn't need to save as a new survey and publish that to get the questions in the order you want.  This especially does not make sense for surveys that are active and live.  Thank you for any further information and consideration.
