Create a simple solution to copying symbology from one layer to another.

Currently in Survey 123 when you share a survey and it creates a "view" layer, the symbology is not copied across from the default symbology of the hosted feature layer. As submitters to the survey see the view layer in the website and not the actual layer, it means having to manually update the symbology in the definition tab each time you share a survey.

Either having the default symbology created in the visualization tab copy across when creating a view layer, or having the ability to copy using tool in AGOL would save so much time.

The current workaround of going into the rest service and updating the definition isn't suitable for all users Solved: Copy Symbology form one ArcGIS Layer to Another - Esri Community

Definitely feels like there should be an easier process here for this project.

I agree that this option would be great.  I don't always need to include the symbology when I create a view layer, but I put a significant amount of time into the visualizations and pop-ups for my layers that are widely used. It would be really nice to have an option to take that customization with me when I create a view layer for a specific purpose. This would save time and keep branding and symbology consistent across applications.

Also, this should be an option, not the default. I would think it would be annoying for many uses if the view layer always inherited the customization from the parent layer. Many times (most of the time), I am pulling out a single data type, so points on the map are just fine and bringing over more complex symbology is not necessary or informative.
