For surveys that are offline enabled in the Survey123 Field App, it would be great if the offline maps (.mmpk / .vtpk files specified in Survey123 Connect) can be be downloaded once and used across any Survey that specifies the same files.
We have a single .vtpk (293MB) that covers our expansive working area (over half of Western Australia - bigger than most countries) and our staff are very mobile, making smaller, more numerous and precise offline maps not feasible. Our devices also have mobile device management software in place that restricts access to the devices folder structure. This prevents us from sideloading the .vtpk to the device for use when offline by any survey.
Our only option then is to specify the file in the Survey settings via Survey123 Connect, so that the file can be downloaded by the user. Unfortunately this means that as more surveys are created, they will end up having to download this file numerous times to enable it's use in each survey. Not an efficient use of storage space on the device, or bandwidth in locations with less than optimal network connections (includes some of our offices).
