Navigation for ArcGIS StoryMaps?

Is there, or will there be, a way to add over-arching navigation to the new StoryMaps? Something like the navigation bar at the top of the Story Map Cascade template, for example? Or like the tabs or dots on the old Story Map Series or Story Map Journal?

Hopefully. URL parameters are highly useful and uniquely simple to code for.
