Can Google Translate be used with Storymaps?

This blog post references that Google Translate can be used for Storymaps, but when I've tried Google Translate on multiple Storymaps it brings up a blank screen.

@KateBender3 -- If you configure the language of your story in the Story settings before you publish it, this will trigger browsers with translation features (which includes all major browsers, like Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, and many alternative browsers) to automatically prompt readers to translate the story, if needed.

Essentially, this setting configures the story to "broadcast" its language to readers' web browsers. If a reader's browser is set to a different language than the language of the story, the browser will ask the reader if they would like to translate the story into their own language (see screenshot, below).
