Hello, I am currently interning with the DEP and need some guidance with a project I have been tasked with. I have an Excel sheet of data from DEP projects spanning back to 2007 and have created a map in ArcGIS Pro that shows the locations of the projects and has information attached to each point (acreage, date, etc.). I am able to create a sufficient story map, but there is an issue. We complete multiple projects a year and would like this map to be easily updatable once I am gone without needing to rebuild everything.
The ideal workflow is as such:
1. Put data from DEP projects into Excel sheet (Easily done)
2. Data is taken from excel and updates the current map in ArcGIS Pro (Easily done)
3. Data in ArcGIS Pro updates in ArcGIS Online
4. Updated data is reflected in the story map with minimal manual changes
Problems begin to crop up once the changes are made in ArcGIS Pro. I can not find a way to make the changes in ArcGIS Pro find their way to the story map without needing to delete everything and start over again with the new map. Is this even possible?
Any guidance at all would be greatly appreciated, I have spent a considerable amount of time trying to find ways to streamline the process but have come up with nothing.
Thank you for your time.
Have you tried to overwrite your existing web feature layer form Pro?

I also think it might be an easier process to just publish a feature layer from Pro, not a web map, and then compile the web map in ArcGIS Online.
Another workflow that you could try is using ArcGIS for Excel to publish to Online, and not use ArcGIS Pro at all.
