When embedding in Instant App in StoryMaps - I noticed that the icon to "open the app in a new window" is usually overlapping the home button:
I tried experimenting with the settings and different formats, but I can't quite get the icon to shift differently. It makes it really hard to click on the Home button to recenter the map.
If anyone knows of a setting that might work, any advice is welcome!
@SaraJL - Thanks for sharing this idea! We realize the current treatment isn't a universal solution. Unfortunately, since this button is placed on top of the embedded content, it will always cover something. If we shift the button to a different spot, it will overlap something different and potentially be worse for other types of content. We have discussed a few alternatives but haven't prioritized any changes at this time.
For now, if that button overlaps something important in your embed I would recommend you turn it off in the Embed options. If you need to provide a way for readers to open the content in a new tab, you can add a link to the embed in the caption or sidecar side panel.
@OwenGeo Good to know!
For what it's worth - it's actually not a huge problem with other content (I embed a lot of Google apps, Genially infographics, Thinglink tours, etc in StoryMaps). It's only when I try to embed an ArcGIS Instant App that it's really that noticable.
I could also play around with the formatting some more to see if that will fix it. Or if it was possible for the home icon to show up by the zoom in/out buttons (like on a Web Map) that would probably also do the trick.
Thank you again!
