I am imagining a story map, which covers the comprehensive history of Arc/Info and ArcGIS.
For all of us career GIS professionals, old and new.
Starting from the very beginning of the founding of ESRI, all the way through to the current day.
Hardware platforms, software documentation (would be so cool to see pdf files of the old hardcopy, spiral-bound doc books of the 4, 5 and 6 - heck, all of them … ArcPlot, ArcEdit, Coverages, AML, etc)
Lots of pictures, example maps, Sun SparcStations, hardware dongles … all of it!
I know I would enjoy it immensely, anyone else??
I did a "GIS History" presenation for my department and was able to find some really old pictures going through ArcNews Archives. So far, I've been able to find issues going back to 2000.
There are a lot of screenshots of ArcMap and other ESRI software, pictures of equipment a variety of other fun stuff! If you're looking for source materials 😁
