An option to add tooltips to selected text to show some brief paragraph (200-250 characters) to mimic hover footnotes would be really useful.
Right now we have a footnote section and use coloured square-bracketed numbers in the text to identify each reference/explanation/comment/piece of additional information, but that means having to scroll up and down to read the footnotes. We've tried adding a footnote subsection after every few paragraphs and it's more convenient but the scrolling up and down problem is still there.
