How are you using Kernel Density? I'd like to understand your workflows and use cases. Are you using the output raster only as a visual, or are you processing it further using a tool like Zonal Statistics? Thanks for your input!
If I am working with points in that context, I prefer to use a Voronoi diagram or Delaunay triangulation since I can choose how to symbolize or interpret the intervening space between points. Probably not what you are after, but I find density and interpolation representations of space a bit disconcerting in that the original point patterns are not retained and presented by default. They may look nice, but are they representative.

I have used kernel densities quite a lot in the past, but you have to be careful about search radii and output cell sizes to be able to interpret the output correctly.
