Is there a way to view whether or not conflict prevention property is enabled for the LRS ?

We attempted to migrate the LRS to ArcGIS Pro and chose to set the conflict prevention option to "AS_IS" when running Modify LRS.  Now we would like to confirm that it is enabled but aren't finding how to view the status.

@AlisonWieckowicz you raise a good question. LRS conflict prevention in ArcGIS Pro is dependent on the geodatabase being branch-versioned.

Not sure, if this was a first-time migration from ArcMap LRS to ArcGIS Pro LRS. During the process, it is recommended to also unversion (traditional)  and version (branch). Followed by enable conflict prevention. Once the LRS service is published and added back to ArcGIS Pro, the Locks tool becomes active. Click on Locks tool to display locks table - confirming conflict prevention in enabled.

So am I understanding correctly that if you are migrating an LRS from ArcMap to Pro, because you need to change the version from traditional to branched, you basically need to reenable the conflict prevention since it is disabled during the process?

@AlisonWieckowicz I think you are on the right track in unravelling this.

Here are three concepts to track:

  • LRS
  • Versioning
  • Conflict Prevention

All of these existed in ArcMap and they are in ArcGIS Pro but the nuts-n-bolts have changed under the hood. Hope this helps. Please post your updates.

Hi @AlisonWieckowicz, if you want to see if Conflict Prevention is enabled (as well as viewing other LRS properties), you can run an arcpy describe operation on the LRS dataset (the steps to complete this are located here https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/production/roads-highways/lrs-data-model.htm#ESRI_SECT...).

You can also ensure Conflict Prevention is enabled by changing the Conflict Prevention parameter in the Modify LRS tool to "Enabled".
