I have had field staff utilizing QC over the past few weeks and one of them brought to my attention a GNSS receiver connection issue when switching between QC and Collector.  The user was utilizing QC and collector at the same time on an iPad.  When switching from QC to collector and back to QC, the connection to the GNSS receiver would be lost and the only way to regain the connection would be to disconnect fully and reconnect to the receiver.  This didn't hinder field work and was more of an annoyance to the user.

I wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue and what they did to resolve this.

Ultimately this shouldn't be an issue once the next update to QC is published, because the side-by-side capability will be enabled.

Hi Megan

This is a current limitation of QuickCapture and Survey123. If the Bluetooth connection to the GNSS receiver is taken over by another app, QuickCapture and Survey123 are unable to automatically reconnect to the receiver once you return to them. We are looking into the issue and will update this post when further information is available.

Thanks
