Summary

The ArcGIS Production Mapping product data files patch for ArcGIS Pro 3.4.0.1 is available to download from My Esri.

 

Description

To download Esri software, go to the My Organizations tab, then click the Downloads sub tab. You must have permission to download software to access the Downloads sub tab. If you do not see this sub tab, you may need to request permissions.

Notes

  • These files are appropriate for use with any patch version of ArcGIS Pro 3.4.
  • This is a full install of the product data files which includes all updated and previously released configuration files.
  • Any edits made to configuration files should be preserved before installing this update.

Updates

The product files that ship with the Production Mapping extension have been updated to account for the following:

Generalization Models

  1. An issue where creating Skin-Of-the-Earth (SOE) centerlines that are connected to connecting line features were getting attribute values incorrectly assigned by the SOE Collapse model—causing significant gaps—has been fixed.
  2. The Dissolve tool has been replaced with the Merge Lines By Pseudo Node in the b Prep SOE and b Prepare Hydro Lines models to prevent Hydro lines from merging across intersections, which can cause the line direction to flip unexpectedly.
  3. The Line Direction parameter default value for the Set Line Direction tool in the aa Flip SOE Interior Line Direction model was changed to Downhill to more consistently apply line direction in low elevation areas.
  4. To help account for the change to Downhill, the Feature To Line tool in the aa Flip SOE Interior Line Direction model was removed so that lines are longer when passed into the Set Line Direction tool. Longer lines are more likely to have different DEM Z values for the start and end vertex, which is what the tool uses to set the direction.
  5. The AOI_line feature class was added to the tools in the following Hydro thinning models so that features at the AOI boundary are not removed during generalization:
    1. Natural Hydro—Remove Small Lines tool
    2. Thin Hydro—Thin Hydrology Lines tool

Generalization Tools

The Eliminate By Field script tool included with the product files has been updated to:

  1. Create unique temporary datasets during processing that improves how the tool runs multiple processes concurrently on the same machine.
  2. Better support null values in the Field parameter.
