I have encountered a situation where the wrong number of records is being displayed in the attribute table view, and when selecting all records, the number of selected exceeds the total number of records listed by ArcGIS Pro (see attached screen capture).
I am running Pro 2.0 on a Windows 10 machine, and am pulling data from an AGOL feature service.
The maximum number of records that can be pulled from the service should be the 2000 limit, not 200, as in my case. Not sure what would be causing this other than a bug.
This is maddening! I just updated to ArcGIS Pro 3.5 hoping the issue would be fixed, but no luck.
I am dragging and selecting a group of points, then need to unselect all but the points for one certain plant species, Explore Statistics, and get total the number of stems to enter into a polygon feature class in the same geodatabase. (The population boundaries for different species overlap, so I can't select by location. It was very fast in ArcMap: Show Selected Records in the attribute table, sort by species, and highlight & unselect/reselect to get the species I want.) I have always watched the number of records like a hawk when doing anything and have trained coworkers to do the same: look at the # of records before and after deleting features, copying & pasting from one layer to another, etc. Since attempting to migrate to Pro last year, I've noticed that the total # records & the # selected are just flat-out wrong sometimes and don't update as features/records are unselected, which is causing me to get different statistics when I double-check my numbers. Sometimes saving edits corrects (? or at least changes) the numbers, but not always.
Just now, I selected all of the points in the area I'm looking at. 18 total. Dragging and highlighting several records to unselect at once is glitching, so I went slow: Highlighted 2 records in the attribute table, clicked "Unselect" next to "Highlighted:" and the total went down to 16 - great! Did the same for 2 more - down to 14. Highlighted 2 more, and we're down to... 11. Which extra point got removed? Was it one that I needed? No idea! It's also unselecting different features than the one highlighted - I highlight one row/feature in the attribute table, "Unselect" up top next to "Highlighted:", and a different, wrong feature is unselected and the one I don't want is still selected.
What on earth? I can't trust any of my numbers now and I have >400 populations to update. Do I have to go back to ArcMap to do all of my calculations?? Why is it so much harder for Pro to... count?
