Will it now be impossible to use Pro as a stand-alone product as Concurrent Licenses Retire?

Hi,

We currently use ArcGIS Pro as a stand-alone product without Online or Portal with Concurrent Licenses.

With the licenses retiring, will we still be able to use Pro as a stand-alone without Online or Portal?
Or will we have to purchase online/portal and install it in order to use Pro now? 
Then, if Portal is needed to access licensing, what is the purpose/point of having license manager? Will that be retired as well?

Just trying to understand the changes and prepare for them.

Named User via AGOL or ArcGIS Enterprise the preferred option moving forward.  For machines that is completely off the network, the Single Use option is still available.

My understanding is that, at a minimum, you will be required to have 1 Creator license. This will include ArcGIS Online access (not portal so no installation required) and the license will be assigned to the single named user of that organisation. This is what you will use to license ArcGIS Pro (via the Sign In option). I don't believe the traditional License Manager will be required going down this road.
