I used the the Copy Rows tool to export a file geodatabase attribute table to a text table (which I am excited that this functionality is now incorporated into this tool!). However, the tool says that the .txt output file will be tab-delimited: Copy Rows—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS for Professionals. When I open the output .txt file, however, it is actually comma separated. I actually prefer this, but I also prefer being able to name the file as .csv if that is what it is going to be. Is it possible to incorporate adding the .csv extension for an output file into an update? Additionally, the OBJECTID field values are not exported, though the field name is.
Is there something I am not doing correctly or is this a bug the need reported? Thanks for the help.
James,
It's not my area but it totally sounds like a bug. Just hit up support with a simple repro case so we can get it in the queue for the appropriate team.
Thanks!
Opening a Support case to get a bug logged can be helpful, but it can also just be an act of catharsis. Unless Development has already logged a similar bug in their system, history tells me not to expect a quick fix.
