I am trying to display the type of point features of my layer. Here is what I see when I show the legend of my points:

But here is what I see when I want to add a new point:

I see that even though I specified my values + coded values:

Why to I see the code instead of the point description?

Without knowing the specifics of your system I(ie. is this in ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online?)
