When I attempt to 'Share As Web Layer' from ArcGIS Pro (v3.6.2) my space bar does not work in the 'Summary' area. I usually share the layer to AGOL and then edit the Summary online. Is this a known bug? The work around would be to type up the summary in another program and then cut and paste, but that isn't a very efficient way.
@JeffJensen3 Yeah this appears to be a bug. Another workaround would be to just type any letter ( "z") and then push the back arrow to position your cursor to the left of the "z" and then type out your summary as normal. Once your done, remove the "z" or whatever letter you used. It seems to be doing a Trim of trailing whitespace but it's overly aggressive.
Thank you for your help! I appreciate not having to type up my summary in notepad and copy it over.

Confirmed as a BUG in ArcGIS Pro 3.6.2 with Esri Support Services. I do not have a BUG number as of yet but will share it when I know. A workaround is to uninstall 3.6.2 in favor of 3.6.1 as it's not seen there. If you're a Windows 11 user, this is the workflow (below) to uninstall 3.6.2.
I am having the same issue. Thank you for posting.
I'm also having this issue, but I also discovered the application errors out and closes as soon as I type the "&" sign in the summary as well... reproduced 2 times. Weird and frustrating bug.
This now has a bug number. BUG-000183024 - "When sharing a layer as a web layer, the Summary text box does not accept text spaces." It's fixed in ArcGIS Pro 3.7 which will be released Q2 2026.
