What formula is used to calculate the size of a pie chart using a specific field?

I`d like to make custom legend with custom circle size with custom rounded values. And I`d like to know, what formula is used in program to recalculate field values to size of Pie Chart, for example, in pt.

there is no mention of a "formula" other than "sum"

Chart symbology—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

Sum of selected fields uses the sum of values from each field in the pie chart symbol to determine the size.

There are 3 size types in Pie Chart: "Fixed size"; "Sum of selected fields"; "Field".

"Field" varies the size of the pie chart symbol using field values. To determine the size of Pie Chart, the program also requests Minimum size value. And the program somehow recalculate the field values to size of Pie Chart.

It isn't documented.  @KoryKramer might be able to put you in contact with that team
