Replace polygon but keep rest of attributes

I have a layer with polygons and its identifier (attribute table is 3 fields: FID, polygon and Place_ID) I need to replace this polygon with the one in another layer (attribute table has 20 fields).

A tool that comes to mind is Append, but it will add a new row, which I dont want as the rest of the attribures will be lost.

Any ideas on how to replace these geometies? They are only 5 of them...

Maybe you could start with Attribute Transfer Mapping to transfer the attribute to the new polygons.

http://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/10.3/manage-data/editing-existing-features/transferring-attribut...

Then you could go for Append or Update whichever is preferable.

mhh sounds like a good tool to use, thanks!

It seems its for lines, but I'll see if it works for polygons...

Thanks, I went first by manually deleting the rows, then appending the needed polygons and merging.

thanks all
