My magnetic north arrows in ArcGIS Pro appear to have stopped auto-calculating. I previously had produced a layout that included a declimation diagram (referencing this blog post), and upon adding a magnetic north arrow to a layout, it already set itself to an angle of about 8 degrees to the west. Now, however, all magnetic or grid north arrows I add are just set to 0. The are referencing a map frame in a projected state plane coordinate system, and I have tested in other new Pro projects. Am I mistaken to assuming the magnetic north is supposed to be auto-calculated by ArcGIS Pro? I'm using 2.4.3

Hi Ingrid,

Your assumption is correct. The angle should be auto-calculated for magnetic north arrow elements.  Unfortunately, you have run into a bug. I've confirmed that this is working correctly with version 2.5, which should be available in the next few months.

Thank you so much for the clarification that I am indeed not crazy! I look forward to the next release.
