Hi, looking for a laptop that meets the ArcGIs Pro specifications,
I have two options from in my budget and company of choice,
the big difference between them is :
1) i7 4500U processor and a 5400rpm 1tb +8gb SSD.
2) i7 4700HQ processor and 250GB SSD drive.
all the other are the same.
what is more important, CPU speed or HD speed?
Thanks
I would say CPU speed and RAM are most important.
The SSD will help with access to the display cache (and of course any data on it as well) - though the hybrid drive will also help nicely with those access times when not going to the spindle.
Do both machines have the same graphics chipset? That is the other thing that can affect ArcGIS Pro performance, especially in 3D views.
I have a i7 M4700 / 250 Go SSD / Graphic chipset : Nidia Quadro K2000M.
It's not the best but it works. When i work with 3D views it's too short, Navigation is not smooth.
