Hi all,

I'm fairly new using Pro on a regular basis. Been tiptoeing in for a couple of years, then early this year, took the plunge and now use it about 90% of the time. Currently on 3.2.

My question is related to the production of KMZs, and specifically having a legend. I used to produce KMZs a lot in ArcMap, with legends of course.

But I've found when I run Map to KMZ in Pro, specifiying the layout from which to source the legend, the resulting legend as displayed in GE is not useful. The GE display is covered with a "haze". It's like there is a dark grey polygon that is about 10% transparent covering the entire GE view. This happens regardless of scale.

I also find that when I use the radio buttons to turn on the legend, it only appears when I activate the upper center button. Not terrible, but also not preferred.

The haze in particular makes the legend useless. And I would really like to have legends for my users. Have others experienced either or both of these issues? Are there any fixes?

Thank you.

Hi @MattMillard ,

It seems that what you're describing may be caused by a known software defect, BUG-000155151https://support.esri.com/en-us/bug/the-keyhole-markup-language-kml-legend-created-using-th-bug-00015...

Thanks,

Rob

Thanks Rob. It was indeed that bug, and the workaround, um, worked. Albeit a little clunky.

Cheers,

Matt
