How to Make Polygon Symbols in the Legend Larger?

I am creating a large map, therefore the legend needs to be large. I have made the text large, but I can't seem to figure out how to make the polygon symbols larger. I have included a picture for context.

If anyone knows how to help that would be amazing!!

It goes off of the size you have set in the map. I would create a copy of that layer and use it solely for symbology in your legend.

@aduyvesteyn Dan is correct. You'll want to click on your legend item in the layout and then look at patch width and height!
