How to extract small variations in color to see surface features in imagery

I am trying to extract features from the imagery to make it easier to see. I am wanting to get the loop marks which are a lighter brown than the surroundings. However, I am not sure how to do this as I am not too familiar with ArcGIS. Any guidance would be appreciated. Would it be easier to do in Python?
