How to create shapfile from contours on a ArcGIS Layer?

I have downloaded a map from ArcGIS online that has 1 foot contours. I have uploaded the layer file to ArcGIS Pro. I would like to export the contours to a shapefile to import into MicroStation. I cannot use the export feature or export table, as the export is not supported in Pro.

everything that existed in ArcToolbox in arcmap is also present in ArcGIS Pro.  Shortcuts … many … were lost along the way, so focus on using tools in Arctoolbox.

make sure you specify a shapefile output and not a featureclass in a geodatabase, should you need the shapefile output
