how do you open up a .pitemx file?

I am trying to open up this downloaded file in ArcGIS Pro and it will not open.  The ArcGIS Pro screen is blank.  Please share your solution if you've had this problem, thanks.

Hello,

I’ve tried what they said to try. I am running ArcGIS Pro 2.4.2 I’ve double-clicked the file and it opens up Pro but does not add anything to the map/screen. Do you know of another way or if anyone else is having this same issue??

I read that it would produce files in your project folder.  Not sure about automatically adding the contents of the file to a map.  I presume you tried to find the data and see if it could be added manually?

Hi Shawna,

Could it be that all of the maps or scenes in this project are closed? If you open the Catalog pane, Project tab, Maps folder, you will find all the maps saved in that project and can open them from there.
