How do I perform a mass space trim in ArcPro?

What is the ArcPro equivalent, Arcade or Python, of the mass trim function in ArcMap?

python has lstrip, rstrip or the combined .strip

: a = " a b c "

a.strip()
'a b c'‍‍‍‍
