Hi, it seems like an easy thing to do but the right tool and parameters are evading me. I have a list of about 90,000 addresses geocoded as a point feature layer. I have a polygon layer of zones. I need a simple spatial analysis done to assign the point features to the zone they are located in with a new field in the point feature layer listing each zone. When I try to Select by Location it simple highlights everything in the entire polygon layer( all polygons at once) when I try to select only one polygon at a time to select only the points in that polygon it returns zero results for some reason. I think its an overlay or an intersect tool but the exact steps are eluding me. Thanks for any help.
